Freedom by Ayda Miller
Freedom is doing the things you don’t want to but, at the end of the day you know you will feel better about your decision.

Today is the first day of the girls exclusive camp. And the versus of the day was 2 Corinthians 3:17, “now the lord is the spirit, and where the spirit of the lord is, there is freedom.” This versus spoke a lot to me today especially when I was feeling anxious about the camp.
As I got to thinking about it I realized that we can’t have freedom with out discipline. If you allow yourself to do what ever you want whenever you want you have overused freedom and now the word for that is license which is the abuse of freedom. When you act inappropriately or irresponsible. Freedom comes with responsibility without if we would never know what freedom is. Freedom is doing the things you don’t want to but, at the end of the day you know you will feel better about your decision. Like having the freedom to go for a run so you choose to and later in the day you feel good about your choice, or having the freedom to not go for that run because you are sore and banged up so you feel good about your choice and now your body is starting to feel better.
So through camp today with that thought in the back of my mind I continued to remember to be thankful for the freedom I have, to have the space here at victory to train and to know I can come In to every practice having a good attitude and effort going 100% because I can control that. To bring it back to a spiritual point. Freedom with the lord comes with discipline and responsibility as well you can’t follow God without ever having thoughts about him.
There are things we must do as Cristian’s to have a good relationship with God. The discipline that comes with that is trying our best not to sin and spending time with the lord to better your relationship with him. If we choose to disobey all of these things we don’t have freedom anymore. But when we do these things he rewards us with freedom form him which is better than any kind of freedom we will get here on earth. So when we have discipline and are responsible our outcome is freedom spiritually and physically.
